Resize Virtual Disk

Hi,

I built this ESX4i and loaded a Window Server 2003 from a P2V convertion. I did some hard drive clean and now I have too much GB extra size drive. I want to resize one of the Disk drive down few GB. What is the best way to resize the VM Disk drive?

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Your best method, in my opinion, to shrink disk is to use VMware vCenter Converter

Hi Troy,

I used the same converter to convert the Window Server. Is this mean I need to convert the virtual file again and change the disk size?

in my opinion, yes. There are other methods out there, but I have not tested or used them, but I know converter is a safe method of shrinking/resizing your disk.
