on-demand FT, can this be automated?

Hi,

VMware mentions that since FT is so easy to enable this can easily be used for on-demand FT.

Question that I have, is there a way to automate the enabling of FT? (it isn't an option in the default VC scheduler)

Maybe this needs to be done via PowerCli?

Actually the only way is use scripting.

There was similar threads (a month ago), maybe there are also some examples

you can right click the VM ( from VC where your Host and VMs are connected ) and ther you can see the FT enable option.

There are some pre requisites before enabling FT.

I believe you can enable the FT logging on host using cmd line ( automation purpose ).... not sure whether enabling FT on VMs can be automated or not
