CPU Alarm on Socket #3 and #4

Hi.

When connecting to the ESXi 4.0 Server via vSphere Client an alarm is shown for CPU socket #3 and #4.

Can this be avoided?

The computer only has two sockets and two cpus.

Thanks.

Could be a wrong BIOS that has some bad sensors.

Try to update BIOS (and if present also motherboard) firmware.

Which type of server do you have?

Currently I'm running ESXi as guest inside a VMware Workstation for testing.

Production server will be a ProLiant DL380G5.

Maybe that's the reason.
