Yes. I have 6 460c G1 hosts running vSphere 4.

But pay attention, not the all configurations supports all vSphere functions. For. ex. if you have Xeon 53xx CPUs, you won't be able to use Fault Tolerance.

My hardware is BL460C G1 Processor is E5420.

It is strange that I install ESX 4 and 4I, I could not access the VI WebPage. Via VI, I still could not reach the host.

Therefore, I roll back to the ESX 3I. it works.

Works fine in my case, so I suppose that's not a problem with hardware.

Could you kindly tell me the Build No. you use?

BTW, what about the configutation on the Switch you made? Only the Trunk Port? Anything else you made?

I upgraded my hosts from 3.5u4 to official ESX4.0 164009, and a couple of days ago I installed latest patches. So now I have build 175625.

There are "full" ESX servers, ESXi Embedded on flash disks, and ESXi Installable on local disks. No issues.

Anton,

It is strange for me at this moment. Pls kindly refer to the steps what I have done before,

1. Config Trunk Port

2. Install ESX3I, working well.

3. Install ESX4I, Web Access Deny; VI Access Deny, Telnet Deny, Ping OK

4. Install ESX4, Web Access Deny; VI Access Deny, Telnet Deny, Ping OK

5. During installing ESX 4, I found that there is one error about "weasel", what is that?

6. My hardware is HP BL460C G1; Processor: E5420

BL460c G1 Xeon x5365 10-32GB RAM with various disk configurations, dual SAS, dual SATA, diskless (boot from USB). ESX and ESXi - all works fine.

Friends...I have the same model hardware but my problem is another very strange indeed.

I have 3 hosts with VMWare ESX Server 3.5 update 4 installed in a HP

Blade solution (BL460c G1). VMWare ESX servers are communicating as

usual with the network and they were added to Virtual Center inventory.

After restarting any of those VMWare ESX Servers it loses the

communication with the rest of the network even with the others ESX

hosts.

Does anybody knows what would be the cause of this problem?
