Player install fails with Warning 25033

I have a new PC with Vista Home Premium SP1

Every install I try of Player or Workstation fails and rolls back with the following error at the end.

Warning 25033. Failed to remove Windows logon customization (INSTALLED=). Please contact your administrator.

I have disabled AV software, Firewall software, I don't have anything "custom" about my logon screen that I can see.

Any ideas?

Are you running the installer AS Administrator?

Is your PC a member of a Domain, a Workgroup, or a standalone system?

right-click Running as Administrator on non-domain system (local account).

still fails.

I can state that I have never had any issues installing/running VMware products on PCs with WindowBlinds installed, or any other Stardock software.

Rob - I only mentioned windows-blinds because it was the first app that came to my mind that could fall into that category.

Are you running 64 Bit Vista with Comodo? If so, take a look at this link http://communities.vmware.com/thread/187730

Nope. Don't have anything like that installed. The computer is a new Dell Studio XPS with 64-bit Vista SP1, home premium.

I have disabled all the software that came preinstalled.

Any other ideas?
