Folks,
We are putting some thinking around doing a Developer Day for VMworld 2009 on Monday August 31st, 2009 - San Francisco, CA. Plans are finalizing as we speak but just wanted to give the community a heads up. This event is published on the VMworld session agenda.
Some details:
Plans are in final stages
Fee based - 1 day event open to all. You do not need to be a TAP member in order to attend
Sessions topics would be around vSphere, Workstation, Appliances and Cloud developer topics
We plan on doing lots of demos, if you have any suggestions let us know what you would like to see
Some sessions we have on the list:
o New features of vSphere SDK 4.0
o vSphere Web Services SDK 4.0 Best Practices
o vSphere API Performance Monitoring
o vStorage API - Virtual Disk Development Kit
o Orchestrator API
o VIX API
o VMware Studio
o Developer productivity tools, Record/Replay...
Let us know if you have any suggestions of what you would like to see... but space is limited
Why are we doing this ?
We wanted to provide an open format where our R&D teams can meet with our wider communities and also folks like lamw, lucd, and halr9000 have "strongly suggested" we open up our Tech Exchange content to the wider community.
