I have a very simple question. Can I install VMWare Fusion 2.0.3 directly over my 2.0.1 or do I need to go in order and install 2.0.2 first, then 2.0.3?

No you do not need to go in order and you should install VMware Fusion 2.0.4 since at the present time it is the latest release and address a critical security issue present in previous releases.
