Session Title: Virtual Disk Development Kit 1.1

Abstract: VMware Virtual Disk Development Kit (VDDK) is primarily a C API targeted to software developers. It provides location transparent access to virtual disks – well suited for use cases like backup, offline compliance checking and management / manipulation of virtual disks. This talk will focus on Virtual Disk basics, VDDK API’s and the new features of 1.1 release.

Audience level: Beginner

Pre-reqs : Some programming experience and VMware experience desirable. Some knowledge of hard disk terms like MBR, partition, volume will be helpful.
