Block SCSI device showing up under storage adapters?

We recently just replaced a FC HBA with the same model HBA. Now under Storage Adapters it list vmhba1 as Block SCSI and then the FC as vmhba1 and 2. Before we never saw the Block SCSI device. Also this is an Emulex LP110000 PCI FC card. Is there any reason why this device would show up?

I have a block scsi hba in my installations as well that represent the local scsi card. The hba's may have swapped because of the adapter being recognized now, but it shouldn't matter to your storage, and that should work correctly. Have you updated ESX recently as well? Is the block SCSI device a SATA controller?
