Macs don't have a BIOS, but any 64-bit Intel Mac has VT-x and is capable of running 64-bit guests (and of course 32-bit guests as well). Either of the models you specify will work.
Well that makes it simple. All I have to do is check the CPU manufacturer for VT support.
I expect as long as I buy an Apple less than two years old then I will have VT support. I will get a MacBook Pro then for my Linux and Windows development.

You don't even need to check that - the only 32-bit Intel Macs were the first generation Core Solos/Core Duos. Any Core 2 Duo/Xeon Mac (i.e. anything since Oct 2006 with the exception of the mini, which moved over in Aug 2007) is fine, they all support VT-x.
