Hi,
I am using VMware ESXi 3.5 and VMware converter 4.0.
I have built a Windows Enterprise Server 2003r2 Enterprise 64bit Guest that I want to use as a template for building several other machines with this OS.
In understand that I can use VMware Converter to do this.
I start VMware converter, I select "Convert Machine" and connect to my Host Machine. I can see the VM that I want to copy and I select it as the source machine and press next.
I then get an error saying " Unable to obtain hardware information for the selected machine"
It appears that I can select a Linux VM as a source machine OK but when I select one of my two Windows VM's I get this error.
I attach the logs from the converter.
Any help gladly received
