Unable to add domain administrator account to QuickPrep

Hi, everyone,

I'm trying to configure QuickPrep for the first time, and everything seems fine up to the point that I have to add a domain administrator account. Unfortunately, the "Domain administrator account" dropdown menu is empty (see attached), and there is no provision for manually adding credentials or adding them later.

What have I missed?

I believe that I had to add a domain admin account (mine, in this case) to the Users and Groups section before one would become available in the dropdown menu.

Did you add the domain admin account into the View Configuration page where the vCenter is added. Edit vCenter and select View Composer settings. You have to check the box and then add the domain admin in the following format (explicitly):

somedomain.com

somedomain.com\domainadmin

password

Make sure you're using the form DOMAIN\username. Anything else is likely to fail.

I'm having the same problem adding a QuickPrep domain.

I use domain.college.edu that is the AD domain.

I use DOMAIN\username of my admin account

Big, fat, fail. I've tried so many iterations its not funny. DNS is working properly. nslookup resolves domain.college.edu to my 4 DC's.
