Firstly I think you need to ask your question again with a little more information regarding what you really need to find out.

If you are simply asking what can virtualization offer the customers, the answers are multiple: Reduce costs, More efficient use of computer resources, faster deployment of servers, savings on power costs and cooling costs, possibility to migrate powered-on servers from one ESX server to another, Configure high availability, use snapshot technology. Restore machines faster. Provide cost effective labs.

and thats just for starters....

Hello,

Reduced cooling costs, electrical costs..... My own example I was able to reduce from 20+ systems to 5 systems which removed Power Distribution Units, a bunch of switches, disk trays and other sundry systems that were no longer needed. Cooling costs have gone down. Electricity costs have gone down. Maintenance contracts on systems have decreased.

Those are just for starters....
