VMWare 6 - 1 virtual machine is in use

I´ve installed VMWare 6 on Win XP Pro SP3.

The Virtual machine will started by a created service.

If i log on to XP, vmware guest system is still running

If i want to logoff from Xp (not the guest system), i will get the following message from VMWare: "1 virtual machine is in use"

On Version 4.x and 5.x there was no problem, because the VMWare is still running as a service...

Does anyone have an idea what to change (maybe a registry key,...) that i can logoff from XP and VMWare is still running again?

We don't support running Workstation a service. I assume you're using some third-party tool for that?

Anyway, that error only appears if the Workstation UI is running when you try to log off. If you kill the UI process (vmware.exe) and let the VM run in the background, you shouldn't get that. Alternatively you could try running VMware Player instead of VMware Workstation a service.

Well, in Version 4.x and 5.x it works without any problem!

Why does VMWare does not longer support this feature?
