Duplicate New Virtual Images

Hello everyone...

I spent most of the day building a Virtual Machine with the operating system and all settings the way I want. I am runnint ESX 3i, 3.5.0 server.

I am trying to figure out how to duplicate my "master virtual machine" to 10 more virtual machines.

I went to the Datastore browser and found I could create a folder and copy the files from my original virtual machine to the new folder.

Two issues with that:

1. All the files in the folder will have the names of the files from the original folder

2. This seems like a sloppy way to clone virtual machines.

Can anyone help me identify if I am doing this correctly or if there is a much more streamlined process.

thanks

I assume you do not have VC so clone to teplate is not an option

You could try

ghettoClone.sh - Automate cloning VM(s) for ESX/ESXi
