Creating Custom Template

I have read this document and maybe i do not see it but there a way to create a template so that when I deploy new VM from the template it will generate new sid and name the server same as VM.

I know you can do it by creating customization setting file that you would select but is there a way to do it without it?

the only way you could do this is with a preconfigured setup.inf and Sysprep configured in the template. the only issue here is that all you machine would be provisioned with a meaningless Computername, so to get uniqueness to your standard nameing conventions, would would need a winnt.inf in a floppy drive. as this point it really does become easier to create your customistion file and save it, then when you proivision you just select your desired customisation template and off you go

Wth Virtual Center and the sysprep files properly installed you can have Virtual Center a new machine name and SID when you deploy from template - you can use a customization file to ease the chore or manually enter the information every time you deploy form template -

as I mentioned "I know you can do it by creating customization setting file that you would select but is there a way to do it without it? "

every time you deploy you would have to go to customize and that select the file that I already have.my question is can you create a template so you do not have to go and select that customization file?
