Hello, has anyone successfully automated the e-mailing of
performance graphs (Memory and CPU utilization) on a regular interval\daily basis for virtual machines? Specifically about the actual performance
graphs, not alerts mind you.
Thanks,
The performance graphs that are available in the VI Client can be saved as a file or printed but afaik there is no API to do this from within a script.
On the other hand is is not too difficult to emulate these graphs with the Get-Stat cmdlet.
And from there you easily create graphs, in for example Excel or Word.
You find some good examples on this in Alan's entry for the VITK Scripting contest. See
Sending an email is quit easy, as you probably already know.

LucD, Thanks for the Plug.
I will also be doing some more work on that (hopefully today) as I have found a nicer way to do it, I will post back the results, someone else may help you out in the meantime.
I also did a quick stat post a while back which allows you to get the jpg which should be easily added to the email script...
