Converter, Workstation, and Terminal Server

I created a Windows Server 2008 terminal server VM in workstation (made sure to specify the correct compatibility with the ESX environment first) and used converter to import it into my ESX 3.5 environment. After the import, when I try to log in via RDC to the terminal server as a user, i get an error "User Profile Service failed the logon. User Profile cannot be loaded"

I created a new W2K8 VM on the esx server directly and it works without issue.

Has anyone seen this? The only variable I can point to is creating the VM in workstation first. Any insight is greatly appreciated

Jeff

Google agrees, but I doubt this fellow's conclusion.

Just another datapoint that indicates something changes on a P2V from WS to ESX for 2008 user profile service.

I found that same link via Google. . .it was just one datapoint though. . .likely I will just remove the converted VM and start from scratch

Thanks,
