just looked at your screenshot. It gives you a firmware of 1.91A5

Is that not what you wanted?

By the way information on those files varies depending the HBAs you have.

Hi,

you can get a lot of details of the HBA by looking at

/proc/scsi/

here you will have several folders depending on the type of HBA you have.

for Qlogics look for a QL something folder ie ql2300 Do a cat on the files you find inthat folder and you will get full details of the card includding firmware (bios boot version) for example

QLogic PCI to Fibre Channel Host Adapter for QLE2462:

Firmware version: 4.00.29, Driver version 7.08-vm32

Boot Code Version:

BIOS : v1.24, Fcode : v1.24, EFI : v1.08

The Boot code version is ussually what you are looking for. Its one that can be updated from the qlogic site.

Other option for Qlogic cards is installing sansurfer. You can actually use it to vied firmware details and also update the HBAs directly. Granted its not really recommneded by Vmware and if you do use it remove it after you are done.

If you are using Emulex cards then you need to go

/proc/scsi/lpfc again you do a cat on the files you find inthere.

you will see something like

Emulex LightPulse FC SCSI elx_7.4.0.13-1

EMC LPe1150-E 4Gb PCIe Fibre Channel Adapter on PCI bus 01 device 00 irq 105

BoardNum: 0

SerialNum: BG80269858

Firmware Version: 2.70A5 (W3F2.70A5)

Hope this helps you.
