SAN Storage Performance | ESXtop

Is there a vmware document or community generated document that describes the process to check for IO bottlenecks/performance using esxtop?

Not sure there is, but I would look at Queue Depth and DAVG/cmd as your primary data points.

High queue depths often mean you need more paths or faster storage, and a high average time per command indicates your storage isn't fast enough (anything over ~30ms is too slow in my book).
