Attempted to install WS 6.5 and received the following message "magic number does not match."
I am running unbutu 8.04 on a Dell Workstation with a raid5 disk.
What to do?

Sounds like your download is incomplete. You can use the md5sums on the download page to verify and redownload if they don't match.

That is what I thought - thanks for the help.
After a successful installation, I tried to re-install, then got this message.
I ran md5sum VMware-Workstation-6.5.1...
Then sh VMware-Workstation-6.5.1...
And install worked.
