Alarm

I am trying to configure different alarm in Host and VM levels ,I setup the action to send Email to our NOC email, I configure also the SNMP in Administration "Mail" section , but when the Alarm change , the action never happened , no emails , am I missing something or what could be the problem?

Can you ping the SMTP relay host from your VC Server?

My VC server is a physical box , if you mean ping it form the VC server , yes I can , or you mean ssh to the host and ping it from there ? evern from the host yes I can

No the VC server - it is the VC server that will generate the e-mail - do you have anything that is blocking traffic on port 25 from your VC server?

I can telnet to the SMTP server using port 25 with no problem , plus I don't have any firewall setup to block port 25

another thing you should verify is your mail server whether it allow to be relay sending any email with valid or invalid email account in your mail server. the log file of the mail server will show the detail you need. are you configure the mail server with FQDN or IP?

Sorry guys , it was mistake , we setup filter in our IT outlook that's why we have't receive the alarm
