Virtual Machine/Hypervisor technical information

Hi ..

Can anyone tell me where i could find some good detailed documentation on what information is being emulated by the hypervisor and how its being emulated .... white papers , websites , any ideas

Note, I found that there was additional information in my VMware Infrastructure course which I took before the VCP exam. Some of the information in that manual I have not seen replicated elsewhere.

What you should be focusing on is in fact the diferences between binary translation and paravirtualization.

for that the recomended reading is (http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/VMware_paravirtualization.pdf), that PDF explains all you need to know from the way the hypervisor translates the guest os hooks to the hardware in both cases.
