Remote CLI commands allow you to perform many of the operations you might currently perform using the ESX 3 service console. You can use Remote CLI commands in scripts that run on ESXi 3.5 and ESX 3.5 hosts. Remote CLI commands are especially useful for an ESXi host because ESXi does not include a service console.
