This paper is similar to the vSphere 6.0 paper, below, but shows the performance for new features in vSphere 6.5. DRS is now more efficient and faster, and when used with VMware vRealize Operations (vROps), DRS can predict changes in workloads and respond appropriately.

This paper aims to demystify DRS for vSphere 6. The paper:
- Provides an overview of how DRS works
- Explains some of the factors that influence DRS behavior and how they can be monitored
- Covers some common performance scenarios that customers experience and shows what can be learned about DRS from these scenarios
