Installing ESX 4.x.x without isolating the SAN

The usual suggestion when installing ESX 4.x.x is to disconnect all SAN LUNs to avoid overwriting any shared VMFS volumes.

This can be an inconvenience, especially when installing ESX remotely in a remote site.

This document explains how to remove the emulex and qlogic HBA drivers that are usually loaded by the ESX 4.x.x ISO at install time.
