FROM THE EDITORS VIRTUAL DESK
Hi everyone, by the time the next newsletter is out VMworld Europe in Barcelona will probably be in full swing. This is the premier VMware event in Europe and one that I am sure many of you are looking forward to. There will be many sessions from the VMworld US event as well as many others for this special event. In addition adding to the many announcements and keynote sessions from VMworld US, expect even more in the lead up and during VMworld Europe. Make sure you keep informed about the many different tracks and events here.

During VMworld US one of the key announcements was for Project Pacific, Kubernetes in vSphere. I have had many questions on this since the event from interested people due to the increasing popularity of Kubernetes as a technology. If you are looking for more information on this I suggest heading over to the blog post by Joe Beda here as well as the Project Pacific landing page here. In addition to this you should also read about VMware Tanzu, Modern Application architecture, here, also announced at VMworld US.

Don't forget that all of the content from VMworld US is available on the VMworld website. I wish you all a fantastic week ahead and planning your VMworld Europe trip if you are attending.

FROM THE EDITORS VIRTUAL DESK
Hi everyone, a quick update on the newsletter and content. A few questions on how often the newsletter is sent. We try and get a newsletter out every 2 weeks unless an event is on such as VMworld for example, in which case we try for a weekly update or as appropriate. Sometimes we are forced to delay a newsletter so it may have a slightly irregular cadence but we will always do our best to get one to you as often as is possible.

Another question we are asked is on content and contributions. Anyone is able to contribute to the newsletter. We prefer pointers to a specific blog post or a specific blogger that we have missed and will always do our best, as appropriate to evaluate and include in the next newsletter, so please feel free to send us any content suggestions anytime.

This week I would like to draw your attention to the updated Skyline features. If you are not running Skyline, please take a look, discuss with your TAM/Account Team/Support Team and consider its use in your organization as we are constantly adding more features and improvements.

I wish you all a fantastic week ahead.
