VMware TAM Source 9.07

Posted by nisserow Feb 23, 2017

FROM THE EDITORS VIRTUAL DESK
Hi everyone, I hope you have all had a productive week. As a TAM it is one of our responsibilities to ensure that our customers get the best level of support from VMware. We do this by sometimes being the middle man to help communication flow, we also provide management of the support case. Because of this, it is always a really good idea to include your VMware TAM on your support case when you log it. This is very simple to do. When you open a new case on the web there is a section for "alternative contacts". Simply include your TAMs email address in this area and he will be part of all communications related to the SR. It also helps to do things in this way so that the TAM can respond on your behalf if that is appropriate and necessary, directly into the SR ensuring the response is captured as part of the current SR. We are always trying to go above and beyond for our customers as a VMware TAM and managing open SRs is just one way that we do this. I encourage you to discuss this with your TAM if you haven't already had the conversation.

I wish you all a fantastic week ahead.

FROM THE EDITORS VIRTUAL DESK
Hi everyone, this week we will be bringing back our blog posts from non-VMware sources. This marks a welcome return of this particular section which was part of the newsletter for many years. As we transition this section back please be aware that there may be some posts that may seem out of place. We will be working to make this section as useful as we can and hopefully mirror the quality of the official VMware Blogs. I hope that you enjoy what will now be an extended newsletter with even more for you to read and enjoy each week. Please be aware of course that these blog posts are not necessarily representative of VMware or the TAM program but do provide a really great opportunity to expand the amount of knowledge and information around the world of Virtualization in general which we all enjoy.

FROM THE EDITORS VIRTUAL DESK
Hi everyone and welcome to another edition of the TAM newsletter. As you might notice from time to time we make some changes to the newsletter. Many of these are very subtle and not as noticeable to you the reader and sometimes they are fairly visible changes. This week we are using our new template which aims to make reading the latest news from the world of VMware even easier. You will notice now that all of our social media links are reflected after the editorial. We then have all of the usual included featured items followed by the news of the week. This is the biggest change as the news is now all from our very own VMware TAM newsfeed. When you click on any of the links to view more information you will be taken to this new site. Every week the top 35 or so posts are included in the newsletter in a simple digest format for you to then simply click on to read. I hope that you find this new format easier to view and use as we try and make changes to keep the newsletter fresh and up to date.

Posted by nisserow Feb 5, 2017

FROM THE EDITORS VIRTUAL DESK
Hi everyone, welcome to the first VMware TAM Source Newsletter of 2017. I hope that you all had a fantastic break over the holidays and the first week of 2017 has been productive. I am very excited to share with you a brand new initiative for 2017. As you are aware as part of the TAM program we have a number of Social Media channels. These include Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. This year we are launching a new aggregated news service which will essentially carry all of the same news items that we post to Twitter and Facebook, however, it is just a simple Wordpress site so no subscription is necessary. You will also be able to subscribe to this site if you wish as well as obtain the articles we post via RSS if that is more convenient. I hope that you will avail yourself of these services to keep updated with everything that is going on in the would of VMware and virtualization in general during 2017.

Click here for the new VMware TAM News Service

I look forward to bringing you all of the latest news in the VMware TAM Source Newsletter each week during 2017.

Happy 2017, I wish you a successful week ahead.

Virtually Yours
VMware TAM Team
