VMware TAM Source 7.36

Posted by nisserow Sep 27, 2015

FROM THE EDITORS VIRTUAL DESK

Hi everyone, I have waited until VMworld is over to start making some subtle new changes to the weekly newsletter. As you will see there are a number of visual changed. The first is a simple TOC at the top of the newsletter. This should make simple navigation easier. Please be aware however that not every email client will be compatible with this feature. I have also simplified the font and size that we now use to try and keep things uniform.

I will keep rolling out small changes over the coming weeks and based on your feedback.

A week out from VMworld but the news keeps on rolling in. I am always pleased to bring you the latest and greatest news from around the net related to VMware.

Have a fantastic week!

Virtually Yours

VMware vCenter Server 6.0 Cluster Performance

Clusters in VMware vCenter Server are an important way to group ESXi hosts. When a host is added to a cluster, the host's resources become part of the cluster's resources. VMworld 2015: Cloud Native Apps - a complex (interesting), but fascinating story.

First things first - what the heck is a “Cloud Native App”, great a new buzzword… and we yet another buzzword (YAB ;-) like we need a punch in the face :-) It is a real idea, but an idea that lacks a discrete authoritative definition, but you know it when you see it. Getting The Most Out Of Your First-Time Experience: A Technical Account Manager (TAM) Perspective

For the past 6 years I have watched from afar as the VMware ecosystem converges on San Francisco every year for VMworld. This year I am fortunate enough to be able to attend this amazing event and see first-hand what my colleagues and customers have been raving about for so many years.

As an employee and a TAM, I have a slightly different objective for my VMworld experience. Yes, I am very excited to attend the numerous keynotes and possibly even some very technical deep dive sessions, but I am also looking forward to the many extracurricular events that are happening at VMworld, many hosted by our numerous partners to ensure that even after-hours we get to continue our experience. And of course there is the official VMware party, this year at AT&T Park and featuring Neon Trees and Alabama Shakes. I am certain that all of this will keep me very well entertained.

What I am most excited about however is the opportunity to host many of my TAM customers at this event as well as meet other VMware customers, TAM or other that will be attending. I think this is one of the greatest parts of this event and being able to host my customers is an experience I am really looking forward to.
