Workstation "Failed to lock the file... Cannot open the disk x.vdmk"

Hello,
Not sure now, or because system crashes and then I have reinstalled my OS on host but with same user configuration and when trying to start VM have two error messages after that vm back in shut-down state. I have all permissions for files.

"Failed to lock the file
Cannot open the disk '/home/xx/x.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disk is depends on."

"Failed to lock the file

Cannot open the disk'/home/xx/x-000004.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on.

Module 'Disk' power on failed.

Failed to start the virtual machine."

I don't really want to delete snapshots to try if its working without. Any solutions?

Any help would be appreciated.

Does the listed .vmdk file exist?

If it does exist, are there any .lck files/directories alongside it?  If so, try removing them.

Thank you for reply.

Yes it does exist.

It use to have *.lck file and dir - I have deleted it before, and no changes.
