Hi,

I run Fusion RC1 with an XPSP2 VM on a MacBookPro, and have a new problem with disk access after running RC1 with no problems for a while and not seeing any issues.

I have recently started having a recurring problem that my windows VM applications, like MS Word, complain that they cannot save any files, even the temporary file autosaves because they're "out of space". Other applications also have this issue -- *sometimes*. A text editor just said:

"The disk is full or too many files are open.
H:\....\Milos\Ledprojects\whatever"

MS Word does the same thing.

Note:
1) neither is my physical disk out of space (58.4GB free),
2) nor is my variable-size VM "hard disk" out of space -- it's 70GB in size, but has 60.6GB free and only 9.4GB used up).. since it's a variable-size VM drive it takes 14GB (including 2GB virtual mem file) of space on my physical HD.
3) I use my Windows apps to work on files on the Mac storage, through a shared folder, which I mount in Windows as a drive, H:

Any ideas what is happening? I didn't see this problem till recently which makes me think that it might have only started happening when the true free space on my physical HD dropped below the "imaginary" free space on the virtual HD of the Win VM, but I'm not sure about this.

Thanks,

Milos

Do you see this if you don't use shared folders?
