Hello,

I have tried to get Firefox 1.5.0 and firefox 2.0 running on Linux to load the VMware MKS plugin. That works, but every time I use the remote console tab I get a white screen.

With Firefox 2.0 the plugin loads with NO issues, with 1.5 I had to do it by hand.

Anyone have a solution to this problem? I am using Fedora Core 6 with Firefox 2.0, which was recommended by another post, with no luck.

Any other idea? I am out of them for this issue.

Best regards,
Edward

Are all the needed ports opened (80,443,902, 903)?

Did you read the release notes:?

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/2.0/releasenotes/

May be you find some hint inside.

hello,

i had exactly the same problem with firefox on various linux platform :

fedora7, centos4.5, centos5, knoppix5.1.1, debian etch...

libstdc++5 was present each time, the plugin files were at the right place.

i discovered today that is has to do with the firefox packaging :
with the firefox provided with the linux distribution it does not work, with the genuine
firefox from www.mozilla.com, installed in /opt it works !

i can reproduce the problem every time, the 2 firefox are the same version (2.0.0.5)
the plugins are the same,
if i run /usr/bin/firefox from my distro -> blank screen
if i run /opt/firefox/firefox from mozilla.com -> it works

Best Regards

I'm having the exact same problem and I am running the 'official' Firefox downloaded from mozilla.com. Has anyone else been able to fix this issue?
