Anyone ever seen these in their hostd.log files, the logs were completely filled with these messages, there were so many of them that it looks like it rolled over to a new hostd.log file every few minutes.

I am also seeing these errors when connecting to an Adaptec Snap NAS.

Please can someone from VMware take a look at this?

Steve

I've the same entries a few times per second - i don't think this will be good for performance if the server is busy writing this debug information permanently to log.

it's on a ESX 3.02 Enterprise connected to MSA1000

Hello guys,

We get the same kind of error messages here, debug mode seems to be activated in some of the vmware product.. ESX 3.5.0 build 64607 just installed today. The system has been running for about half a day only, and we have already more that 50Mo of logs;

Log for VMware ESX Server, pid=1727, version=3.5.0, build=build-64607, option=Release, section=120

We have an HP Proliant DL380G5 with a RAID0+1 dual 72Gb SAS drives and 6 146Gb RAID5 SAS drives attached on a HP Smart Array P400 .

Can someone please tell us how to disabled this unwanted debug mode ? Is there a patch available somewhere for this ?

Best Regards,

Olivier Kaloudoff

These general debug messages activated when VMware Converter is converting data during the conversion. These messages are generally logged for debug purpose should the conversion was stop or not successful during the conversion.
