Quick question. Is it possible to get more than 1 Gb/s iscsi on ESX3? Are the dualport Qlogic HBA's supporting IEEE 802.3ad/Etherchannel --> 2 Gb/s ?

thanks!

Quick question. Is it possible to get more than 1
Gb/s iscsi on ESX3?

Yes but with 2 hbas (probably 2 iscsi targets needed) - tested with Equallogic (2 boxes), reached 400 MB/s (r/w full duplex) with 2 hbas (in one esx host) and 2 volumes (1 per box)

Are the dualport Qlogic HBA's

for iscsi valid max. 2 hbas (better) or 1 dual hba

supporting IEEE 802.3ad/Etherchannel

Ehterchannel is not supported - none iscsi trunk

The direct answer here is actually no..! Currently each connection to your iSCSI Arrays will be through only one path (at a time, no loadbalancing)

Although as christianZ states, by splitting paths to the LUNs etc you can achieve an equivalent.
