This device is officially on the HCL now, though VMWare isn't supporting using it with an iSCSI HBA for some reason..

We will be submitting the S500 for VMware HCL cert with the Qlogic QLA405x and QLE406x iSCSI HBAs within the next two months. We're also submitting for ESX certification for the S500 with NFS.
