I am unable to use my Jabra BT125 headset when paired with an XP Pro guest. I have installed the BC drivers and I can actually pair the device to the guest. However, there is absolutely nothing listed in the Services tab in the device's properties dialog. Additionally, the device is not visible in Skype as well as other VoIP applications. The BT125 works perfectly fine in the host environment. Is there some sort of magic trick required to get a bluetooth headset working in a guest environment?

Hi TheAngryPenguin,

If you can pair your Bluetooth device with the guest, it definitely sounds like this is a problem with the software in the guest. (I assume you connected your Bluetooth adaptor to the guest directly, right?)

TheAngryPenguin,

Does your toolbar and Windows Bluetooth Adapter control panel look like this? What error (or error codes) are you getting pairing your headset to the Guest VM?

Hi,

I am running Beta 4 and attempting the same thing with a Plantronics Explorer 340 BT headset. I am suffering from exactly the same issue. The drivers in the guest (XPSP2) are listed as shown in the previous image. The headset connects, but that is about it. No services are listed.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I found it somewhere else:

Turns out that it's a pretty common issue with XP SP2.

Enjoy :)
