I am working on building a system for use with VI3 and the controller I was looking at is an optional card for my Tyan motherboard based on the Adaptec AIC-9410W SAS chipset and I was wanting to use it for RAID 10.
The chipset is on the HCL, however I noticed that the driver was listened under the SCSI section rather than the RAID section. Does that mean that ESX will not work with it for the VMFS drive when using RAID 10? Or is it in that section because it is a basic RAID card (ie, no RAID5, onboard cache, or anything).
Thanks!
