Uptime statistic for a VM in VirtualCenter 2.0.1 gets reset after a migration (VMotion) is performed. This should not happen. Uptime should only be reset when VM hardware is powered off.

Agree, the current implementation is not desirable. I guess at this point either change it back or provide a user selectable option.
This is still an issue in VirtualCenter 2.5.0u1. Flagging thread for developers.

Just read your blog post, it brings back memories....lol
Hopefullu they will include a fix with the next major release.... (ahem..... ahem...)
This got me thinking about if there are other things that may not be well defined or measure what one would expect. (still think uptime should be a power /reset measurement for uptime btw)
