This is a fully functional appliance version of SSL-Explorer 0.2.7 that also provides a free 30 day trial of Enterprise Edition.

Hopefully this is not meant for production use!
I don't understand why so many vendors base their appliances on Fedora -please, use rPath, CentOS or something else.

I have not checked out this appliance yet, but it would be a shame if this really does not work as SSLX itself is very slick.

I imported this VM into VMware ESX 3.0.2 and it seems to want to start up ok, but then stops at the following prompt. From this prompt, it never goes further if I select YES, but lets me shutdown the VM if I select NO. I assume the VM does not recognize the network connection. But why?

"You must have one network card configured and working before you may run SSL-Explorer. Select YES to configure your card now or NO to shutdown the virtual appliance."

Anyone have a solution?

For those of you having the same problem as me: not getting the machine to the installation wizzard:

make sure :
- either your DNS is working and properly resolving the machines IP Address
or
- edit the /etc/hosts file accordingly

that solved it for me ....
