Torrent is not allowed in organisations.
We must use the traditional way, please fix it.

When VMware explains that this is the company for enterprise solutions, you should know these things.

Hi

Does it contain full development support (GCC, g++,bison,yacc, tcl/tk etc)

I believe all virtual appliances must mention all packages installed on them.

This would facilitate the user extremeley

Hi,

I was able to download and install this appliance successfully. The web page for OpenSuSE 10.1 - KDE says that VM Tools is included. But I'm not able to find it.

I've tried entering "vmtool" in a console while running as super user and get the response "command not found".

This is my first attempt at using an appliance with VMware player, and the first time I've ever used any VMware product, so please be patient if my question is naive.

Thanks in advance for any help any one can offer!

I posted this question on another forum. Another person gave me information I was able to use to answer the question.

You can start VMware tools by following these steps:

open a terminal window
navigate (cd) to /usr/lib/vmware-tools/bin32
enter vmware-toolbox &

(vmware-toolbox is typed in all lower case letters)

Taken from the website where you DOWNLOAD the image -->
"Root Password: opensuse"
Reading is fun! ;-)

"opensuse" not work!

I can't understand why somebody want to hold off the password. Learn to check if root password is publised before wasting time downloading.

Why don't you remove the bittorrent link from the list, it is not available.

1. Extrem slow download! Very bad!
2. No help for installing! Crazy!
Here is some help:
a) download hjsplit -> google
b) download winrar -> google
c) change new file into rar

But:

3. rar file is not working (opens file but sth. is wrong)
4. VMware server is not working with the files compressed in the rar file, so it doesn't matter that the rar file is not working if you want to run it with VMware Server...

-> Think abou downloading it when you want to use it with VMware Server.

I do not know in which software it is running.

Therefore I downloaded it 2 days...
