I would like to use the VA as a min. LAMP. Is there a way for me to get to the Linux console? It just has instructions on how to get to PHP MyAdmin.

I am trying to upload some csv files into the database.

I try with the phpadmin tool but I get page not found errors. Is there some flags you need to turn on before you can upload a file.

I also tried to use the MySql browser which I downloaded from their site. Again I can't upload the files, as it always is looking in the local file system.

Is there any options for remote mounts or ftps to put remote files on the machine.

any other suggestions.

thx

I might sound stupid, but the login admin:admin is incorrect and root without pw doesn't work either.

Could you give me some hint?

There is no shell access in this Virtual Appliance.

I would recommend using a recent LAMP VA and disable Apache, if you don't need the functionality. These VAs are based on Ubuntu (instead of Gentoo), feature easy package management, and have shell access.
