I can't install Vmware Workstation/Player on Windows 8

I got asus ux31a brand new but I can't install VMware workstation/player on windows 8 64bit, I'm finding solutions for months... and I can't found one xD please help me

Title is for Workstation 7, but the same issues/solutions work with current versions too.

I see you have Avast AntiVirus installed and as of late has been a reoccurring issue in this forum with installing VMware Player/Workstation and the only solution is to completely uninstall Avast AntiVirus, then install VMware Player/Workstation and then reinstall Avast AntiVirus.

After doing so you should complain to Avast for it blocking the install of VMware Player/Workstation without giving a way to do other then uninstall the Avast product! Smiley Wink
