Hello,
I have created a CentOS 4.3 guest with SMP enabled. Once again the problem is that the clock speed is totally crazy. I am aware of the known workarounds, ie. compile kernel after changing Hz). I have also tried the following,
http://www.vmware.com/support/kb/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=1420
but the problem remains. My understanding was that, since VMware workstation is supposed to be supporting RHEL4, no manual config would be necessary.
In any case, I would appreciate it if someone could suggest a solution apart from kernel recompilation.
