Installed Windows 7 VM but no network interface driver found

Hi There!

I have installed a Windows 7 (32 bit) in my VMware ESX Server 3i with Version 3.5.0 and Buildi 207095. The problem is the Network Interface module is present as I see it in the hardware list. But when I boot the VM, there is no detected NIC driver present. I have tried rebooting it for a couple of times as I have encountered in my CentOS VM the same problem but to no avail. Can anyone help me with this?

I would appreciate any opinion about it.

Thank you and God bless!

What is the nic cofiguration? Is it E1000  or Vmxnet2 or flexible?

also if tools is not installed on WIn 7 then only e1000 might work. i will check that first

VMware tools. I would install vmware tools just to be sure.

ALso just to be sure, can you try e1000 and check if it works.
