vmware view 5.0 + HP RGS

Hi,

I have tried to find out if View 5 supports next compination

RGS protocol thru view manager when using windows 7 x64 virtualdesktop.

view 4.6 did not support this yet but how about now? Any one?

Its very unlikely that View 5 will support RGS.

I don't see why not because it allready supports it for windows XP 32bit... Question is does it support it for windows 7 64 bit...

View has never supported RGS beyond version 5.2.5. Support only covered 5.2.5 when connecting to HP blade PCs supporting RGS, not connecting to Virtual Machines.

We have been planning to discontinue support for RGS which is why new capabilities have not been expanded.

Ah sorry for my innaccurate specification.

I was actually talking about connecting blade PC:s using view client and RGS protocol.

So can I presume from your answer that connection via View client to Blade PC with windows 7 x64 using RGS protocol is not supported in View 5???

Is there specific reason for stopping support??? This is kind a sad news for me because we have few customer environments that need to migrate their environment to windows 7 x64.:smileyplain:

Starting in View 5 we have discontinued RGS support.

Mostly due to lack of demand.
