I'm looking at building a small server for home to install ESXi on. One motherboard I'm looking at is the P8B-M, which apparently has an LSI MegaRAID controller built in. The manual is not very specific about what driver is needed but anecdotal evidence is that most Linux distributions recognize and work with it as a RAID controller by default.
Does anyone know if ESXi will use this as a RAID controller, or will I just see the individual connected drives?
