Get a VSS error 2147754758 p2v, XP sp3.

FAILED: Unable to create a VSS snapshot of the source volume(s). Error code: 2147754758 (0x80042306).

Ok so google has told me to check a few things, none of which appear to directly apply.

So heres the part of my log where i see the error.

Which filesystem do you have on the XP machine? NTFS or FAT?

FAT32....

googling.

Edit: DOH! must have at least one NTFS volume...Well.....hmmmm....

why don't you convert the filesystem to NTFS with buildin convert.exe ?

FAT32 is crap - why you want to keep it ???

Oh good, It can.

but it is SLOW. well its working.

Yes i know i can convert the FAT32 drive in XP, but Its a payroll server and cant be brought down right now. heh.
