Ctrl+Alt+F1 from Linux/Unix doesn't work on ESX 4.1

hi

One of the greatest things about Linux and Unix is that it supports multiple

consoles which can be access using CtrlAltFx where Fx are the functions such as F1, F2 and so on.

Since the Upgrade from ESX 4 to 4.1 CtrlAltFx on the Linux/Unix VM's doesn't work!

Is it a BUG?

Try the following step from http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1006012. Also make sure that tthe VMware tools and VMhardware are upgraded.

"Press CTRL + ALT + Space , press the F1 key (or desired Function key) while still holding down CTRL + ALT ."

VCP3, VCP4, RHCE, EMCPA

Thx a lot, using:

"Press CTRL + ALT + Space , press the F1 key (or desired Function key) while still holding down CTRL + ALT "

seems to work.
