Keyboard doesn't respond on an guest VM Ubuntu Lucid Lynx 10.04 LTS 64 bit .

Hello,

I use VMware Workstation 7.0.1 build-227600 on Windows 7 64 bit.

The keyboard doesn't respond on an guest VM Ubuntu Lucid Lynx 10.04 LTS 64 bit beta 1 or 2.

Any ideas, please?

I have the same problem with Ubuntu 10.04 32Bit (beta) on Workstation 6.5 and Windows 7 64Bit host.

Lucid isn't support yet, afaik, and has experimental support in the WS tech preview:

Can you give that a whirl?

Hello,

Sure I can, here I go: I have installed VMware Workstation e.x.p build-240242 on the host Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit and then I did installed the guest Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx 64 Bit RC.

Unfortunaly, the same issue continues to ocurr.

Hello,

I saw the posts at http://communities.vmware.com/thread/263410?tstart=0 so I was able to logon using the virtual keyboard and then changed the keyboard layout.

Nobody told me this simple trick early, unfortunaly.
