Hi,
i use to test thinapp, and today i downloaded from Vmware.com the last release of ThinApp, and when i installed and generated a portable application i got an alert from Avira Free with : infected with 'TR/Dropper.Gen'
Then i tested the all installed exe tools into Vmware Thinapp and i got the same for severals exe like :
vregtool.exe
vftool.exe
tlink.exe
snapshot.exe
Setup Capture.exe
sbmerge.exe
relink.exe
l og_monitor.exe
dll_dump.exe
tlink.exe
So i gave an online test over the site :
here are the results :
Vregtool.exe :
vftool.exe :
tlink.exe:
snapshot.exe
Setup
Capture.exe
sbmerge.exe
relink.exe :
l og_monitor.exe
dll_dump.exe
tlink.exe
I passed trough the others because i got the same result for all the exe
Is the official package infected with a trojan ?
And as you package a portable app, this portable app is also infected !
Any help !
Antiviruses do not like ThinApp packages and its Stub-files too.
VMware should contact some antiviruses companies.
